Art Director - Events & Experiences
Overview:
We are seeking a visionary Art Director with a strong background in events, cultural exhibitions, experiential design, and spatial storytelling. The ideal candidate combines creative leadership with hands-on design skills, leading projects from concept through execution while ensuring visual consistency, innovation, and impact across every touchpoint..
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creative direction of live events, brand activations, exhibitions, and immersive experiences.
Translate briefs into strong creative concepts and visual narratives that align with brand strategy and audience engagement goals.
Oversee and guide internal design teams (3D, graphic, motion, etc.) and freelancers to deliver cohesive creative outputs.
Collaborate closely with producers, technical teams, and clients throughout all project phases, from pitch to on-site execution.
Ensure all creative outputs meet high aesthetic and technical standards, maintaining alignment with the project’s tone, budget, and timelines.
Contribute to client presentations, pitches, and creative workshops with clarity and passion.
Stay ahead of creative trends, materials, technologies, and cultural movements relevant to spatial and live event design.
Requirements:
Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field.
5+ years of experience in a creative role within the live events, exhibitions, experiential, or creative agency space.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver award-worthy creative under pressure.
Strong portfolio showcasing creative direction across events, installations, or brand experiences.
Fluency in visual communication tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro), along with familiarity with After Effects and other motion graphics tools, is a plus.
Exceptional storytelling, pitching, and communication skills.
A deep understanding of brand environments, audience psychology, and spatial narrative techniques.
Nice to Have:
Experience with music direction, scenography, or live performance visuals.
Motion graphics and video editing.
